OpenGL ES is the standard for rendering 3D content on mobile platforms.
The Vuforia samples show you how to set up an OpenGL rendering context and render simple 3D content (e.g. static, textured models) using OpenGL ES 1.1 or 2.0. Vuforia does not provide support for loading standard model formats or rendering with animation, it's up to you to integrate 3rd party solutions (or write your own!).
